Cows and Quilts.
Hello! I hope you all had a really fab Bank Holiday.
Just back from a trip across the moor to Ashburton. This little town is packed with all sorts of shops, everything from a brilliant hardware store where they manage to find whatever you need in one of the hundreds of little drawers behind the counter, all done with a helpful smile, to shops selling wonderful antiques, vintage goodies and life's essential luxuries!!
There really is something to satisfy all tastes here. I would urge you to go and spend some time there. Amongst my absolute favourites are:
The Snug, 15 North Street, beautiful quilts, fabrics, furniture and so much more. Run by Roz who is always so welcoming and gives great tips on the latest interior books to get.
Artisans and Artists at 26a North Street  is a definite must, this shop is heaven for all who love beautiful homes, Sue is so clever at putting interiors together. They are also stockists for Farrow & Ball paint. While in North Street you will also find oddsandsuds.com where they make the most delicious smelling soaps, they look almost good enough to eat! If you have any energy left after this, do not miss the Vintage Emporium, this shop on 2 floors is bursting with pretty things for the home.vintage-emporium.com

The Natives Are Friendly!
